Abilities: He has very high-level contract based magic, and the ability to manipulate his shadow and any other shadow it is connected to. He can travel through shadows, hide in them, and summon hands, tendrils, etc. from them.

Personality: Generally relaxed and friendly, smiles a lot (just normal smiles. He almost never grins.), intelligent, generally keeps his personal life and problems very very separate from people. Though he is willing to help with their problems. He's introverted, but he does love conversation.
When he's corrupted, his personality becomes twisted, sadistic, and vicious.
Likes: Donairs, playing guitar, going for walks, stargazing, quiet places, alone time, talking with people, reading, draws very very rarely.
Dislikes: People who push his buttons, pitch darkness, being seen shirtless, being caught talking to nothing, orange juice, stupid people, killing, death, torture, etc.
Bio: Alex lived a rather... unfortunate life. His father simply walked out and never came back when he was 10, and his mother lost her battle with cancer just two years later. The next four years of his life were spent in a foster home, though he spent more time out on walks or in the nearby library than actually at the foster home.
Then he simply disappeared without a trace. His was the first of a string of disappearances that plagued that town for the four months that followed. Disappearances for which he was responsible. 7 people gone without a trace.
He spent the next two years trying to make things right, to make up for what he had done.
It was during this time that he had found the academy, and also found out that his supposed attempts at making things right had only been worsening the situation.
He hopes to find out how to fix himself, and if that fails, how to stop himself... permanently.
